Florence PD Issues Scam Warning

The Florence Police Department is warning residents of a substantial increase in the number of reports they have received regarding a scam. Callers are falsely claiming to be representatives of law enforcement, claiming that they have a warrant for the person’s arrest for missing federal jury duty, and demanding payment over the phone.  They urge residents not to fall for the scam.  If you are contacted in this manner, please report it to your local law enforcement agency.
