Lauderdale schools to hold active shooter drill Oct. 1

The Lauderdale County Board of Education, working with local and state agencies, will conduct an active shooter drill on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Wilson School.

The drill will be held on a professional development day for employees, and no students will be present. Officials said the exercise is designed to help school staff and emergency responders be better prepared.

A reminder about the drill is scheduled to go out on Sept. 30.
