Columbia Police Make Arrest in Fatal Hit-and-Run

Columbia Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that occurred on Thursday, September 11, just before 5 a.m. on Tom J. Hitch Parkway near River Highlands Apartments. Sixty-three-year-old Teresa Nelson was found deceased at the scene after the driver fled. The vehicle involved has been located and seized for forensic processing.
