Southern Tennessee Regional Health System Pulaski has received the Tennessee Hospital Association’s 2024 Zero Harm Award for the second consecutive year, according to WKSR. The award recognizes the hospital’s success in eliminating healthcare-associated infections in three key categories: Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infections (CAUTI), Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infections (CLABSI), and Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) bacteremia. Presented by the Tennessee Center for Patient Safety, the Zero Harm Award honors hospitals and clinical departments that achieve a full calendar year with zero infections in one or more categories. The recognition highlights efforts to eliminate preventable harm, save lives, and reduce healthcare costs. STRHS Pulaski CEO Jason Fugleberg said the award reflects the dedication of the hospital’s physicians, nurses, and staff in providing safe, high-quality care. The Zero Harm Awards are presented annually to hospitals that go extended periods without healthcare-associated infections, and the full list of recipients is available through the Tennessee Hospital Association. STRHS Pulaski continues to focus on patient safety and maintaining high standards of care for its community.
