Official misconduct charges that had been brought against Loretto City Manager Jesse Turner earlier this year were retired in Lawrence County Circuit Court Thursday. Turner had been indicted on the charge in connection with work done by city employees who drove a city vehicle to work on the septic tank at his Leoma home. The case had been investigated through the State Comptroller’s Office. It was determined in court that the employees were off the clock, and no existing city vehicle policy was violated. Judge Russ Parkes ordered that the charge be retired and that it may be completely expunged from Turner’s record after six months.
