Marie Clifton Lothringer

Marie Clifton Lothringer, age 82, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025, at her daughter’s residence.  She was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, retired security from Modine Mfg, and a member of Meadow View Baptist Church.  She loved to cook, sew, spend time with her grandchildren, and travel to the beach.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Thomas and Christine Waters Roberts; her husband, Willard Clifton; one daughter, Janet Fletcher; one grandson, Gary Fletcher; and one great-grandson, Dallas Dickson.

She is survived by three sons, Danny Clifton (Brenda) of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Lanny Clifton of Nunnelly, TN, and Terry Clifton (Cyndi) of Lawrenceburg, TN; two daughters, Rita Novem (Lee) of Waynesboro, TN and Sondra Abernathy of Columbia, TN; two brothers, Melvin Roberts of White Bluff, TN and Thomas Roberts of Brentwood, TN; four sisters, JoAnn Littrell (Bobby) of Nashville, TN, Debbie Houser (Donald) of Westpoint, TN, Shirley Ann Crews (Scott) of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Marilyn Henson (Butch) of Greenhill, AL; twenty-five grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren; and twenty-one great-great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 17, 2025, with Chad Clanton officiating.  Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.   Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
