Perry Authorities Arrest Two on Drug Charges

Perry County law enforcement officials report that two arrests were made in the wake of a probation search at a Linden home on September 7.  Officers with the Tennessee Department of Corrections, Perry County Sheriff’s Department and 32nd Judicial District Drug Task Force conducted the search, seizing methamphetamine, marijuana, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.  Residents Karen Baker and Verna Bastin were arrested on a variety of drug-related charges as well as violation of probation.  Bond for Bastin was set at $74,500, while Baker was held under a bond of $154,500.
