Perry Authorities Arrest Two on Drug Charges

Perry County law enforcement officials report that two arrests were made in the wake of a probation search at a Linden home on September 7.  Officers with the Tennessee Department of Corrections, Perry County Sheriff’s Department and 32^nd Judicial District Drug Task Force conducted the search, seizing methamphetamine, marijuana, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.  Residents Karen Baker and Verna Bastin were arrested on a variety of drug-related charges as well as violation of probation.  Bond for Bastin was set at $74,500, while Baker was held under a bond of $154,500.
