Lona Powell

Lona Powell, age 96, of Ethridge, TN passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025, at her residence.  She was a native of Paris Landing, TN, a homemaker, and of the Christian Faith.  She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and making crafts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert William and Mary Haynes Landers; and her husband, Everett Hollis Powell.

She is survived by one daughter, Diane Long of Ethridge, TN; four sons, Dwight Powell of Ethridge, TN, Terry Powell (April) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Jeff Powell (Debbie) of Nashville, TN, and Gary Powell (Belinda) of Ethridge, TN; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, September 15, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 16, 2025, with Jeff Smith officiating.  Interment will follow at Old Ethridge Cemetery in Ethridge, TN.  Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
