Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office to Present $956,000 in Grants to Local Fire Departments

On Friday, September 12, The Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office will present checks totaling $956,000 to 23 volunteer fire and rescue departments serving Maury, Giles, Lawrence, Perry, Wayne, and Hickman counties. The event will be held at Hinies BBQ Venue North, 2782 US 43, Lawrenceburg. Doors open at 11:15 a.m., with a meal served at 11:30 a.m. The program will begin at noon and include photo opportunities with state and local elected officials. The event is expected to conclude by 1 p.m. Members of area volunteer fire departments and rescue squads, along with state and local officials, are invited to attend.
