Betty Jean Staggs

Betty Jean Staggs, age 79, a resident of Summertown, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025, at her residence. 

 Born on October 21, 1945 in Lawrence County, Betty was the daughter of the late Clivous Favors and the late Josephine Clifft Favors. Betty enjoyed the simple things in life, being outdoors, walking to pick blackberries, cooking and cleaning, listening to country and gospel music, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved her.  

 She is survived by her sons, James Darrell Staggs and Jimmy Staggs, brother, Randall Favors, sister, Pat Marshall, ten grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. 

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Staggs and sister, Gail Renfro.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Summertown Cemetery.
