Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

Deputies with the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department conducted a stop on a vehicle that was displaying the wrong license plate Thursday, resulting in the arrest of Mark Anthony Whisman.  During the stop, deputies were given permission to conduct a search and found methamphetamine, marijuana, pipes and scales.  Whisman was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
