Second HoJo Photo Giveaway Scheduled in Lawrenceburg

A second giveaway of prints by longtime Advocate photographer Howard “HoJo” Johnston will be held September 12–14 at the Scout Cabin, 601 Waterloo St., Lawrenceburg.
Johnston spent decades documenting local sports, events, and life in Lawrence County. Following his death in February 2023, longtime co-worker Nancy Brewer has been curating and digitizing his collection, sharing it for free on the HoJo Photos Facebook page.
The first giveaway in April allowed the public to take prints at no charge. While many have already found treasures, more prints remain. Hours for the second giveaway are: Sept. 12, 5–8 p.m.; Sept. 13, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.; and Sept. 14, noon–4 p.m.
