Jewell “J. O.” Hardy

Jewell “J. O.” Hardy, age 89, of Ethridge, TN passed away Thursday, September 04, 2025, at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, and a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. Mr. Hardy served his country honorably in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Presley and Mary Pullum Hardy; and one sister, Margaret Hardy.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lottie Hardy of Ethridge, TN; three sons, Steven Hardy (Donna) of Ethridge, TN, Michael Hardy (Arlene) of Ethridge, TN; and Timothy Hardy (Nancy) of Lawrenceburg, TN; three grandchildren, Brandon Hardy of Louisville, KY, Chris Hardy of Cookeville, TN, and Kyle Hardy of Ethridge, TN; his border collie, Zoey; several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday, September 08, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Monday, September 08, 2025, with Bill Murphy officiating.
