March 19, 1963-September 3, 2025
Barry Keith Hamm was born March 19, 1963, and was one of 12 children. He was preceded in death by three brothers Ray, Tim, and David; three sisters Syble, Alice, and Freda; and his parents Mary Ruth Watkins Hamm and William Paul Hamm. He leaves behind his only daughter and joy of his life Morgan Kelly Reed and her devoted husband Jason Reed; his brother Larry; sisters Barbara, Patricia, Jennifer, and Mittie; and several special nieces and nephews.
Barry was born in Florence, AL, and grew up in Iron City, Tennessee. Barry retired from Lauderdale County Board of Education, where he worked in maintenance. Barry loved animals and horses and was a friend to all. This love of animals and horses brought him and his Wife, Nancy together. They met at a horse show, and their fates were sealed. Nancy died thirteen years ago and has been patiently waiting for Barry to join her. Barry loved to go to the sale barn and there was no telling what he would bring home- like the four turkeys he brought home Saturday. Barry was quick to laugh and loved to tease. His smile and quick wit will be missed.
Visitation for Barry Keith Hamm will be Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 1:00 P.M., with Bro. Mike Ayers officiating. Burial will be at Greenhill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kane Tucker, Brandon Buttrum, Mark Collier, Danny Urban, Brian Watkins, and Stanley Watkins.
Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
