Lawrence County Committees Set to Meet September 4

The Lawrence County Government has announced two committee meetings scheduled for Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the county offices on West Gaines Street.

The Highway Committee will meet at 5:00 p.m. in the second-floor conference room at 200 W. Gaines Street. The agenda includes a request from the school system regarding a street near Summertown High School. Members of the public are welcome to attend and may address matters relevant to the agenda.

Immediately following, the Veterans Committee will convene at 5:30 p.m. in the same location. The agenda includes the quarterly report from Veterans Service Officer Donnie Morris. Public participation is also encouraged.

Both meetings provide residents an opportunity to stay informed about county business and share input on issues affecting the community.
