Family and friends of 6-year-old Bo-Austyn Yocom, who passed away in a car accident on May 11, 2025, are honoring his memory through a new nonprofit called Bo’s Blessings. Bo was known for his kindness and loved helping his mother stock local Blessing Boxes, especially the one at Ethridge Elementary School. Bo’s Blessings is dedicated to continuing that mission by keeping Blessing Boxes throughout the community filled with food and essential items. The organization will host its first food drive on Saturday, September 6, from 8 a.m. to noon. Donations of nonperishable food, toiletries, and gallon-size Ziploc bags may be dropped off at the following locations: Lawrenceburg Dental, STRHS Lawrenceburg, In-Service Towing in Loretto, and Mars Hill Baptist Church. Community members can also support the effort by placing items directly into any Blessing Box, volunteering with Bo’s Blessings, or contributing to the food drive. For more information, visit and follow Bo’s Blessings on Facebook, or sign up as a volunteer by calling or texting 931-244-0590.
