County Commission Approves Multiple Resolutions in Special Session

The Lawrence County Board of Commissioners met in special session Monday, August 25, approving all agenda items, each with 16 votes in favor and two commissioners absent. The meeting included a resolution recognizing the Lawrenceburg Cal Ripken League 10-and-Under All-Stars for winning the 2025 Tennessee State Championship. Commissioners also approved a resolution declaring Lt. Anthony Washburn’s service weapon surplus so it could be awarded to him in recognition of his years of service with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department. Additional actions included approving notaries and authorizing a contract with Combined Public Communications, LLC to provide inmate communication services at the county jail.
