Lawrence County Commission Holds Special Session Today (8/25)

The Lawrence County Board of Commissioners will hold a special session today, Monday, August 25, 2025, at 5 p.m. in Courtroom A of the Lawrence County Courthouse. The agenda includes a resolution recognizing the Lawrenceburg Cal Ripken League 10-and-Under All-Stars for capturing the 2025 Tennessee State Championship, approval of notaries, and a resolution declaring Lt. Anthony Washburn’s service weapon surplus so it can be awarded to him in recognition of his years of service with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department. Commissioners will also consider a contract with Combined Public Communications, LLC to provide inmate communication services at the county jail. The meeting is open to the public, and residents wishing to speak on agenda items must sign in prior to the session; comments are limited to three minutes per person.
