Officials with Lawrence County Emergency Medical Service are urging residents to reach out to congress members to help strengthen EMS across the nation.  The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians is urging congress to support key legislation to ensure that our EMS is safer, better equipped, and more responsive, especially in rural communities.  Ask your representatives to support Treatment-In-Place, Mobile Integrated Healthcare, to protect funding for EMS, and grant support for rural and nonprofit EMS agencies.

How You Can Help – It’s Easy!

  1. Visit NAEMT’s Online Legislative Service, which makes contacting Congress simple by visiting https://naemt.org/advocacy/online-legislative-service#/
  2. Use the tool to send a message to your reps in support of these EMS priorities.
  3. Encourage others—share this post, talk about EMS, and rally friends, neighbors, and local businesses to get involved.

Let’s show Congress just how much we value our EMS. Head to the NAEMT Online Legislative Service now, send your message of support, and share this—it only takes a couple of minutes to make a real difference!
