Lawrence County Commission to Hold Special Session Monday

The Lawrence County Board of Commissioners will meet in Special Session on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 5 p.m. in Courtroom A of the Lawrence County Courthouse. Agenda items include a resolution recognizing the Lawrenceburg Cal Ripken League 10-and-Under All-Stars for winning the 2025 Tennessee State Championship, approval of notaries, and a resolution declaring Lt. Anthony Washburn’s service weapon surplus so it may be awarded to him in honor of his years of service with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department. Commissioners will also consider a contract with Combined Public Communications, LLC to provide inmate communication services at the county jail. Commission meetings are open to the public, and residents may comment on agenda items by signing in before the session begins. Each speaker is limited to three minutes.
