Stanley Higdon

Stanley Higdon, age 73, of Summertown, TN passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025, at his residence.  He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, and retired test base supervisor from Murray Ohio.  He enjoyed watching westerns and tending to his cows.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanford William Higdon, Sr. and Mildred K. Hicks Higdon; his wife, Barbara B. Higdon; one sister, Margie Newton; and one great-grandson, Weston Higdon.

He is survived by one son, Wade Higdon (Amanda) of Center Community, TN; two sisters, Doris Newton of Summertown, TN and Kathy James of Ethridge, TN; two grandchildren, Eric Higdon (Braxton) of Huntsville, AL and Chris Higdon (Grace Young) of Summertown, TN; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 21, 2025, with Carlos Casteel officiating.  Interment will follow at New Salem Cemetery in Summertown, TN.  Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
