The Giles County Office of Emergency Management (GCOEM) will hold an open public meeting on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 1 p.m. to continue updating the County All-Hazard Mitigation Plan. The meeting will take place at the EMA Office, 3750 Columbia Highway in Pulaski.

The draft plan is available for public review and comment at the GCOEM through August 31. Residents and local businesses are also encouraged to complete an online community survey, available via the Giles County Emergency Services Facebook page, to help guide planning efforts.

The project is led by the county’s Steering and Planning Committee, which works to identify and assess hazards, set mitigation goals, provide updates, and prioritize steps to reduce loss of life and property.
