The City of Pulaski has received statewide recognition for its recent strides in growth and community development, earning the prestigious 2025 Small City Progress Award from the Tennessee Municipal League (TML).
The award highlights Pulaski’s dedication to enhancing infrastructure, public safety, and quality of life for residents. Key improvements include a revitalized downtown featuring new sidewalks, curbs, and upgraded water lines, along with the popular seasonal event “Skating on the Square,” which has attracted families and boosted local businesses.
Recreational facilities have also expanded, with the addition of tennis and pickleball courts at Magazine Road Park and the development of a new splash park in partnership with UT Southern, replacing the city’s aging swimming pool.
Public safety measures have been strengthened through the installation of license-plate reading cameras at critical intersections and upgraded traffic signals equipped with pedestrian alerts to improve street safety.
Pulaski has also secured more than $2 million in grants for water infrastructure improvements and is currently building a $30 million Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) campus aimed at driving economic development and workforce training.
City officials accepted the award on August 5 during the TML Conference held in Chattanooga, marking a proud moment for the community’s ongoing progress.
