One Dead, Three Injured in Limestone County Crash on Highway 251

A three-vehicle crash on Highway 251 near Wooley Springs Road claimed one life and injured three others Tuesday, according to Alabama State Troopers. Limestone County Coroner Mike West identified the victim as 45-year-old Robert Kowal of Athens. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred near mile marker 10, prompting officials to temporarily close all lanes of Highway 251 while emergency crews responded. The roadway has since been reopened. The cause of the wreck remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
