Lawrence County Fire Rescue personnel took part in a stroke response training program hosted by Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems (STRHS) Lawrenceburg, aimed at improving emergency care for stroke patients in Lawrence and surrounding counties. The training focused on strengthening collaboration between first responders and hospital staff to ensure faster, more effective treatment during stroke emergencies. STRHS Lawrenceburg recently earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital, recognizing the facility’s ability to provide timely and specialized care for stroke patients. Officials say the hospital’s certification is a major asset for the region, giving residents faster access to life-saving stroke treatment without needing to travel outside the county.
