The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office assisted the U.S. Marshals Service in the arrest of a Louisiana man wanted for attempted murder on Monday, August 4.
Hitesh Mistry Jr., 23, of Baton Rouge, was located at a residence in the 10000 block of U.S. Highway 31 in Tanner. Upon law enforcement’s arrival, a brief standoff occurred before Mistry peacefully surrendered following negotiations.
Mistry was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held at the Limestone County Detention Facility while awaiting extradition to Louisiana.
The operation involved the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and SWAT Team, highlighting ongoing collaboration between local and federal agencies to apprehend dangerous fugitives and maintain public safety.
