Florence Arts & Museums to Host Family Storytime Celebrating Jewish Traditions

Florence Arts and Museums will continue its Storytime at the Museum series with a special event on Friday, August 15, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Frank Lloyd Wright Rosenbaum House. The program, designed for children ages 5–8, will focus on traditions within Jewish culture.

The event will feature a reading of A Mezuzah on the Door by Janice Fried and will encourage young participants to think about their own family traditions as they create a mini family traditions poster. The activity offers a fun and educational way for children to explore culture and heritage through storytelling and art.

The date also marks the anniversary of Stanley and Mildred Rosenbaum moving into the iconic Frank Lloyd Wright-designed home, adding a layer of local history to the occasion.

Sponsored by the City of Florence Department of Arts and Museums, the event is free and open to the public. Regular tours of the FLW Rosenbaum House are also available free of charge, Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
