Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office Responded to 1,120 Calls in July

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1,120 calls for service during the month of July, resulting in 205 arrests across a wide range of incidents.

Among the reports handled were 38 cases of domestic violence, 19 mental health transports, 21 fraud investigations, and 19 thefts. Deputies also responded to 9 vandalism complaints and 33 burglar alarms.

Traffic enforcement remained active, with 86 traffic stops conducted and 32 crashes reported. Deputies also investigated 36 suspicious person or activity calls and handled 45 animal-related complaints.

The office served 254 civil processes and conducted 15 funeral escorts. No SWAT or Taser deployments were reported for the month.

The statistics highlight the department’s ongoing commitment to both proactive and reactive public safety operations throughout the county.
