Firefighters Contain Vehicle Fire

On their first day on the job Friday, firefighters with Lawrence County Fire & Rescue’s new paid daytime staff at Lawrence County Fire Station 1 were summoned to help with a vehicle fire that threatened the safety of a home in the Gandy district.  This marked the first official response by the staff.  Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, preventing damage to the home.
