Work Continuing at West Gaines School Community Center

Work is continuing at West Gaines School Community Center, with workers currently focused on demolition of damaged areas, as well as construction of a much-needed new roof.   The board overseeing the restoration of the former West Gaines Colored School reminds the community that additional financial support is needed to ensure that the historic building is fully restored.   Anyone interested in donating to the project may stop by First Farmers and Merchants Bank in Lawrenceburg and donate through the West Gaines School Community Center fund.
