Old Armory Building Condemned

The City of Lawrenceburg has announced that the Old Armory, located on Mahr Avenue, has been condemned.  The building has been closed to the public for several months as officials worked to determine costs associated with renovation or restoration of the property.   At this point, costs associated with bringing the building up to codes is considered to be too high to be economically feasible.  Officials indicate that the costs would significantly outweigh any benefits, and would not be a responsible use of taxpayer dollars.
