Tony Lenn Woodall went home to Jesus on July 28, 2025. He leaves behind his beloved mother, Lula Bell Woodall; wife, Karen Willeford Woodall; children, Dustin (Nikki) Woodall and Kristen Woodall; and six grandchildren, Leiara Potts, Avaleigh Woodall, Zoe Wright, Oakleigh Wright, Maci Woodall, and Grayson Woodall. He was born August 5 in Lawrenceburg.
He was a 1979 graduate of Lewis County High School where he played football, basketball, and baseball. He was affectionately known as “super toe” in high school. He graduated from Columbia State in 1981 where he pitched for the Columbia State Chargers. His college nickname was “dude”. He went on to Tennessee Technological University where he studied civil engineering. He married the love of his life, Karen, on July 26, 1986, and recently celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary. He worked for many years with Woodall Construction and then retired as a utility inspector. He enjoyed going to the beach and was the beach cabana boy bringing cold drinks to his ladies. He never met a stranger and was an all-around great guy-meeting friends anywhere he went.
Tony was selfless and always put others needs before his own – taking care of his family was a priority. He was a loving son, husband, father, and poppa. Poppa loved his grandbabies and doted on them singing to them, playing with them, and showering them with affection and attention. He was an avid sports fan, loved golf, and loved UT football. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a Third Degree of the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn L. Woodall; brothers, Larry Woodall and Glenn Woodall; nephew, Noah Woodall; mother-in-law, Lenore Willeford; and father-in-law, Horace Willeford. He is survived by his sisters-in-law, JoAnn Woodall, Scarlette Woodall, Diane Rosenburg, and Debbie Raia; brothers-in-law, Tom Rosenburg and Ken Willeford; several nieces and their spouses.
