Firefighters Contain Lawrenceburg Apartment Fire

Lawrenceburg Firefighters worked to extinguish a fire at a Waterloo Street apartment complex Friday afternoon. The fire, which was later attributed to unattended cooking, was centered in the kitchen of one apartment.  The building was quickly evacuated and the fire extinguished.  Lawrenceburg Fire Department officials report that firefighters remained on the scene for a time to ventilate and monitor the structure.  The apartment did sustain significant heat and smoke damage however no injuries were reported.
