The University of North Alabama (UNA) is broadening its footprint across North Alabama with the launch of a new satellite location at Bridge Street Town Centre in Huntsville. The expansion reflects UNA’s ongoing commitment to accessibility, student success, and regional engagement.
Situated in the heart of Huntsville’s Research Park, the new facility will function as both a student resource hub and a community outreach center. It is designed to serve current students, prospective enrollees, and alumni living in the Huntsville area.
Dr. Brien Smith, UNA’s Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, said the site’s location was chosen with visibility and accessibility in mind. He noted that Bridge Street is a vibrant, high-traffic area and offers the university an opportunity to connect with students where they are.
Key services offered at the new location include admissions and academic advising, transfer assistance, alumni networking events, and fundraising and outreach initiatives aimed at strengthening community ties.
As Alabama’s fastest-growing university, UNA is continuing to expand both its academic programs and physical presence across the region. The new site marks a strategic move into Huntsville—known as the Rocket City—where the tech industry is booming and the population continues to grow rapidly.
Bridge Street Town Centre, a major retail and business destination since 2007, provides UNA with a strong platform to engage a diverse and dynamic community while maintaining strong connections to its main campus in Florence.
The satellite location is officially open, with more announcements regarding upcoming events and programming expected in the coming weeks.
