Lawrenceburg City Council Met in Regular Session July 24, 2025

During Thursday morning’s meeting, the Lawrenceburg City Council recognized the Cal Ripken 10U All-Star baseball team for their exceptional season, which ended with the team being named State Champions. Council members applauded the players and coaches for their hard work and dedication.
Pam Hyde, Director of Parks and Recreation, presented several upcoming initiatives. She outlined planned improvements to Bobby Brewer Park, including facility upgrades and the addition of batting cages to support youth athletics. Hyde also noted that sign-ups for local youth sports are currently open and encouraged families to get involved.
Hyde introduced a new “Night Swim” event coming to Rotary Pool, expressing excitement about the community’s potential response to this addition. She also reported on the overwhelming success of the 2025 James D. Vaughan Quartet Festival, which drew strong attendance and positive feedback.
