William E. Bailey

William E. Bailey, age 79, of Summertown, TN passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025, at his residence.  He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Superior Essex, and of the Baptist Faith.  Mr. Bailey served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Willidean Whitehead Bailey; and two brothers, Wayne Bailey and Darell Bailey.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Bailey; one daughter, Vanessa Brake (Tony); two sons, Kevin Bumbalough (Stephanie) and Cody Bailey (April); one sister, Gloria Farris; six brothers, Dennis Bailey (Laura), Eddie Hunt (Betty), Donnie Bailey, Gary Bailey, Terry Bailey, and Troy Allen; seven grandchildren, Jessica Deines (Dylan), Brittney Handley (Austin), Jack Bumbalough, Erica Handley (Cruz), Dakota Bailey, Zach Bailey (Grace), and Shyanne Bailey; four great-grandchildren, Leo, Emory, Lilith, and Sophia; several nieces and nephews.  Those serving as pallbearers are Kevin, Cody, Vanessa, Dakota, Zach, Erica, Brittney, and Shyanne.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 12:00 PM Wednesday, July 23, 2025.  Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN with full military honors.
