The Lawrenceburg City Council will hold its next regular meeting on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in the Council Meeting Room at the Municipal Complex, located at 25 Public Square.
Citizens who wish to comment on agenda items must sign in prior to the start of the meeting.
A public hearing will be held on Ordinance 1435, which proposes amendments to the city’s zoning ordinance related to administrative procedures, enforcement, penalties, and fee structures.
Following the hearing, the council will consider several ordinances on second and first readings, including:
Ordinance 1435: Amends multiple sections of the city’s zoning ordinance to update procedures for amendments, enforcement penalties, and fees.
Ordinance 1436: Establishes a comprehensive fee schedule for planning, zoning, and permitting, and modifies various existing ordinance sections.
Ordinance 1437: Updates city policy for the dumpster collection system by amending the municipal code section on refuse and trash disposal.
Ordinance 1438–1440: Additional amendments to the city’s zoning ordinance, including new site plan requirements and administrative updates. These will be considered on first reading.
The council will also vote on several resolutions, including:
Authorizing Mayor Blake Lay to sign a deed finalizing the sale of property approved by the Lawrenceburg Utility System (LUS) Board to Doss Brothers.
Approving an agreement with Diebold Nixdorf, Inc. for the installation of a pneumatic tube system with cameras in the LUS drive-through area.
Declaring certain property from the Police Department as surplus to be disposed of in accordance with city purchasing policy.
