J. E. Bonee

J. E. Bonee, age 81, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Monday, July 14, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN.  He was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, owned and operated Lino Litho Printers from 1974-1993, and retired Graphic Arts Educator from the Lawrence County School System.  He was a past member of the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club and a member of Harmony Church of the Nazarene.  He loved Titans football, gardening, and fishing.  Mr. Bonee served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward and Macie Williams Bonee; and one grandson, Christian Hunter Bonee.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sue Bonee of Lawrenceburg, TN; two daughters, Angie Bonee of Lawrenceburg, TN and Susanne Staggs (Kevin) of Summertown, TN; one son, Jason Bonee (Stephanie) of Lawrenceburg, TN; one brother, Garry Bonee (Lee) of Florence, AL; ten grandchildren, Chris Pettigrew, Ashley Pettigrew (Matt), Chelsea Pettigrew (KP), Lindsey Inman (Paul), Cody Staggs (Sara), Ty Staggs, Katie Fisher (Jace), Hannah Melton, Chase Bonee (Lilianna), and Whitney Bonee; twenty-four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Friday, July 18, 2025, with Clint Bassham and Chad Bonee officiating.  Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN with full military honors.  Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
