Betty Sue Wade Reedy

Betty Sue Wade Reedy, 88, wife of James Reedy, and a resident of
Columbia, died Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Maury Regional
Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 18, 2025 at 2:00
PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Andrew Phillips and
Chad Landman officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial
Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday, July 18, 2025
from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home.

Born August, 17, 1936 in Loretto, TN, to the late Clayton Dewey
Wade and the late Hettie Bailey Wade, Betty married the love of
her life, James Wiley Reedy, on May 21, 1971. She was a teacher’s
assistant for the Maury county school system for many years. She
loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren, most
of all she loved God. Betty was a member of Greymere Church of
Christ.
In addition to her husband, James, she is survived by her son,
Mark (Kristy) Reedy of New Prospect, TN; grandchildren, Zach
Reedy of New Prospect, TN, Taylor Reedy of New Prospect, TN;
Sister, Francis Jordan of Mountain Home AR.
In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her son,
Kevin Reedy.
Pallbearers will be Tim Hammers, Eric Jordan, Scott Reedy,
Roger Dale Reedy, Scott Freemon, and Bill Martin. Honorary
pallbearers will include the elders of Graymere Church of Christ.
