The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of a pressure washer from a residence on Gibson Street in Iron City, following a report made on Saturday, July 12. The resident reported being out of town from June 27 to July 11, and upon returning, discovered their Craftsman pressure washer was missing. Surveillance footage from June 30 captured two male suspects arriving at the garage/carport and loading the pressure washer into their vehicle. The footage also showed the suspects rolling a four-wheeler out of the carport without taking it and siphoning gas from a can on the property into their own four-wheeler. The resident is working to transfer the footage onto a flash drive for investigators but confirmed it remains saved for viewing. They also mentioned a prior incident in April when someone cut a cable across the north end of the driveway and stole two old Wisconsin license plates used as markers. The resident suspects both incidents are related and possibly involve the same individuals. The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate. No arrests have been made at this time.
