During its July 10 meeting, the Lawrenceburg City Council unanimously approved two ordinances and a resolution aimed at improving city operations and services.
Ordinance No. 1436 amends the city’s Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance No. 789), streamlining the administration and enforcement of zoning regulations. The changes consolidate and clarify fee structures related to planning, zoning, and permitting, revising multiple previous ordinances for greater efficiency.
Ordinance No. 1437 updates Municipal Code Title 17 concerning the city’s refuse and trash disposal policies. The revision focuses on Section 17-103 and implements changes to the dumpster collection system and garbage container guidelines.
In addition to the two ordinances, the Council approved a resolution authorizing the Lawrenceburg Sanitation Department to purchase a 2025 GMC Sierra 2500 4WD Crew Cab from Wilson Motors. The acquisition is intended to support ongoing improvements to sanitation services.
All items passed with unanimous support from council members.
