Woman Killed in Rollover Crash on Old Florence Pulaski Road

A Lawrence County woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash Monday evening, according to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m. on July 7 along Old Florence Pulaski Road. Authorities say 31-year-old Taylor B. Brooks was driving a Geo Tracker westbound when she failed to negotiate a left-hand curve.

The vehicle began to yaw, left the roadway, and traveled into a ditch. It overturned multiple times, ejecting Brooks, who was not wearing a seat belt. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle came to rest in the eastbound lane on its driver’s side, facing south.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol reports that no charges are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
