Hot Garden Hoses May Cause Burns

Warnings are being issued, reminding residents that a garden hose left lying in the summer sun has the potential to cause serious injuries.  Water inside a hose can reach temperatures of 130 to 140 degrees, which is hot enough to cause serious burns.  They remind you to always turn the water on and allow it to flow until the hose is cooled down, so that burn injuries can be avoided.
