Maury County Commission Schedules Special Called Meeting for June 30 to Address Budget Amendments

The Maury County Commission will hold a special called meeting on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. in the Tom Primm Commission Room. The meeting will focus exclusively on a series of resolutions amending multiple budgets for the 2024–2025 fiscal year.

Fourteen resolutions are listed on the consent agenda, with most sponsored by Budget Director Kathey Grodi. These amendments affect a wide range of county funds, including:

• County General Fund
• Drug Fund
• Parks & Recreation Fund
• Adequate Facilities Fund
• Archive Capital Fund
• County Highway and Public Works Fund
• School General Purpose Budget
• School Food Service Budget
• Debt Service Fund (sponsored by Commissioner Tommy Wolaver)
• County General Capital Projects
• County Capital Fund
• Solid Waste Fund
• Central Maintenance Budget
• Self-Insured Fund

The agenda also includes a public comment period. Those wishing to speak on any agenda item must complete a public forum form, available in person immediately prior to the meeting.

In addition to the June 30 session, several upcoming committee meetings were announced. The Health and Environment Committee and the Building Committee will meet on July 7 at 4:30 p.m., followed by another special called Commission meeting. The Safety and Administration Committees will meet on July 8 at 4:30 p.m. All meetings will be held in the Tom Primm Commission Room.
