The Lawrenceburg community came together in full support as the LawCo Kids Center officially opened during a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Chamber of Commerce. Tabetha Garcia, who co-leads the center with her husband, David, cut the ribbon to mark the grand opening of the much-anticipated facility. The LawCo Kids Center was created out of a need for mental health services specifically designed for moms, casual childcare drop-off options, and a place for local mothers to connect. The idea for the center grew from the Moms of Lawrence County Facebook group, which was founded by Garcia to offer a supportive space for mothers in the area. This non-profit organization is run entirely by volunteers and is supported through the membership of participating moms. The center’s mission is to provide a welcoming environment for both mothers and children, offering a space where families can find resources, support, and a sense of community. The center’s logo, a “messy heart,” reflects its core values of embracing imperfection and welcoming everyone, regardless of their situation. It symbolizes a place where mothers can come together to build relationships and find a supportive network. The ribbon-cutting ceremony marked an exciting new chapter for local families, and the community’s enthusiasm was evident as they gathered to celebrate the opening. With the center now officially up and running, the Garcia family and their volunteers are excited to serve the Lawrenceburg area and provide essential resources to the local parenting community.
