Lawrence County Sheriff Urges Caution After License Plate Stolen

LEOMA, TN — The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department is urging residents to be cautious after a license plate was stolen from a vehicle parked at a home on Dunn Leoma Rd. The red 1999 Ford F-150 was parked at the residence when the theft occurred sometime between June 17 and 18. Sheriff John Myers offered a warning to the public: “If your vehicle is going to be parked for an extended period of time, make sure that you remove the tag. Also, if you sell a vehicle to another person, make sure that you remove the tag before you release that vehicle to the buyer.”
