Rutledge Leon Hines, 81, of Greenhill, AL, passed away at his home surrounded by family on
June 21, 2025. Leon as retired from Reynold’s Aluminum and ECM Hospital, was a carpenter by
trade, and a long-time member and Elder of the Shiloh Church of Christ.
Leon is survived by:
Wife: Shirley Liles Hines
Son: Jared Hines (Allison)
Brother: Wayne Hines (Becky)
Sister: Jayne Dial
Daughter-In-Law: Tammy Harvey
Grandchildren: Trevor Hines (Alida), Ansley Hines (Eli), and Keeton Hines
Great-grandchild: Harvey Hines
Numerous Nieces and Nephews
He was preceded in death by:
Parents: Tommie Lee Hines, Jr. & Wylodean Lefan Hines
Son: Marlin Hines
Brothers: Dewayne Hines & David Hines
Brother-In-Law: Donnie Dial
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Shiloh Church of
Christ. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. at Shiloh Church of Christ with Bro.
Greg Dial and Bro. Hoby Grace officiating. The casket will lie in state at the church from 12:00-
1:00 on Wednesday. Burial will be in Shiloh Church of Christ Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Hines, David Liles, Trevor Hines, Keeton Hines, Eli Henson, Greg
Dial, Bengie Hines, and Jamison Hines. Honorary pallbearers will be Ansley Hines, Mike
DesRuisseaux, and the Shiloh Church of Christ Elders.
The family would like to especially thank Dr. Mann, Dr. Barlow, Amedisys Home Health, and
Gentiva Hospice for their care and support during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Shiloh Cemetery Fund.
Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
