It was a busy weekend for Lawrence County Fire & Rescue. On Sunday Afternoon, firefighters from the Westpoint and Leoma Fire Stations responded to a fully involved vehicle fire in the Westpoint fire district. After returning to service from the vehicle fire, Westpoint units responded to Wayland Springs Road near the 3 mile marker to clear a downed tree that was blocking the highway. Less than two hours later Lawrence County Fire Rescue Units were dispatched to a report of a lawn tractor on fire that was endangering a structure in the Leoma Fire district. The fire was quickly brought under control
