Earlene Jones McDonald, age 93, passed away June 21, 2025. She was a resident of Lexington, AL, and was retired from the garment industry. She was a member of the Peppertown Free Will Baptist Church.
Earlene was preceded in death by:
Husband: Ottis McDonald
Son: Jeff McDonald
Parents: Louis and Lucindia Jones
Brothers: Doyle and Hollis Jones
Sisters: Maudie East, Willie Pearl Barnett, Audrey Killen, Rachel Fleming, Dot Jones, and Jeanette Wilson
She is survived by:
Daughter: Cindy Patterson (Randy)
Grandchildren: Laura Huskey, Nick Patterson (April), Kesha Durham (Casey), Zack McDonald (Kelli)
Great-grandchildren: Hannah (Dusty), Haley (Caleb), Ella, Archer, Mable, Linkin, Axel, Mila, Liam, and her first great-great grandchild who is on the way
Sister: Ora Lee Allen
Several Nieces and Nephews
Mother loved her family and was proud of all her grandchildren. She loved her church family. She loved to laugh and make people laugh.
The family would like to especially thank all the wonderful nurses who have cared for her over the last few years and to all the special friends we have met along the way.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 29, 2025 from 1:00-3:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 P.M. with Bro. Brandon Stutts, Zack McDonald, and Nick Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Richardson Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Nick Patterson, Zack Patterson, Ronald Killen, Dennis Killen, Jordan Dean, and Chris Killen.
Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
