During their meeting Monday, Ethridge leaders approved a new system of dealing with keys to the city’s ballpark. The move is being made to reduce the instances of theft and vandalism. They have reduced the number of locks at the park from five to one. Going forward, coaches and those needing access to the park will be required to provide a $100 deposit for the season. Once ball season ends, they may return the key and retrieve their deposit. Should a key be lost, the deposit will be forfeited.
